Snowflake Challenge - Day 2

Day 2 - Rec at least three fanworks that you didn’t create. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

This one is a bit tricky because I already have soo many good stories in my mind and it seems impossible to choose only some of them.

1. Grand Rapids by aliensouldream
It's an AU Faculty story, written for Halloween. 1910 two strangers (of course Casey Connor & Zeke Tyler) meet in a train, not knowing how much this one night will affect their lives.

This story has everything you can think about: it's slightly creepy, touching, very dramatic. How can I not love it?

(warning: the story contains slash)

:::

2. Dragon & Princesses by honeyandvinegar
Another Faculty Story (slightly AU) which is so worth to read it. Honey has written a lot 'The Faculty stories' and I always used to call her 'the queen of the fandom'. All of them are good, some of them even brilliant. But whenever I have to make a choice, I will choose this one as one of her best.

Two young boys (Casey & Zeke), so different from each other. But both of them have to deal with some harsh problems, and they are sent to a therapy group where they finally start to build a kind of friendship.

(warning: heavy angst, some depression, bullying, and suicidal thoughts)

:::

3. High Society by honeyandvinegar
Okay, I couldn't resist. Another Faculty fic by Honeyandvinegar (very long = 29 chapters). But it's brilliant. Totally AU. Takes place during the Great Depression, where a lot of people were struggling with their daily life. But there's an 'industry' that's ALWAYS successful.

Casey and Zeke met in a whorehouse where they... No, not telling more, you will have to read this to find out what's going on. ;)

(warning: hey, this fic takes place in a whorehouse, so what do you expect?)

:::

4. A different kind of prison (The Sanctuary) by ink_gypsy
This one is an RPS (Sean Astin, Elijah Wood) I have just read today. Wonderfully written, very touching. Even if you don't know anything about the backstory (The Sanctuary is longer series plus a lot of single stories you can also find at AO3), you will understand what's going on.

Sean & Elijah has built a life together in a lonely cabin in the woods when a video chat with a friend sparks a difficult conversation between them at New Year's Eve.

comments
