The challenge: It’s time to enjoy a little word-bowling. In order to word-bowl, count off ten lines on a sheet of paper and draw a line (you can also write 10 lines in word). Your goal is to use each of ten given words, one per line, in a story. This will score a strike. Nine words on nine unique lines scores a spare. Eight words on eight unique lines is a split. The words don’t have to be used in the order given.
Title: Bella
Fandom: The Faculty
Characters: Zeke Tyler, Casey Connor
Word Count: 181
Rating: PG13
My prompts: powder, ink, cat, styrofoam, bubble, notion, remote, royalty, highlight, pills
Frowning Casey looked at Zeke, who crushed some pills in a small box on his lab table; finally, he added some other ingredients, and the white powder turned into an indefinable green-grey mass.
„Can you give me that, please,“ Zeke asked, pointing at the old tea kettle with some bubbling water. Casey pulled the face, put the remote control down and went over to the stove.
„Why do you do this again,“ he asked.“Is this the highlight of your life to end as the best-known dealer of Herrington?“
Grinning Zeke looked up. „Case,“ he said,“ you've not the foggiest notion of what I'm
doing here, right? It's medicine, not drugs. For Bella.“
He pointed at a box, padded out with styrofoam, to keep a small, ginger kitty with royal blue eyes warm. Smiling now Casey stepped closer, gently he stroke the cat who meowed slightly.
„What's wrong with her?“
Zeke shrugged. „Nothing serious, all she needs is some special treatment. Wanna help me?“ He handed a recipe, written in black ink to Casey. „I need some more ingredients. You could go to the drugstore for me.“
