First of all, I need to thank you for all the comforting thoughts and comments I've gotten on my last post. It gives me the feeling that maybe I'm not that alone like I feel at the moment. Sorry, when I only answer this way, but it's still so difficult to deal with it.
In the meantime, Tiger is on the way to his last place to rest. It was a hard decision because I don't own a garden to bury him. Finally, I called my vet to ask him for advice and he gave me a number of a mortician for animals.
I decided on a cremation but told them that I don't want to have back his ash. So they will scatter it in a nearby wood. They have pictures on their website and it looks like a very peaceful place. It still hurts, a lot, but it's a relief, too, to know this. And I know, the pain will fade away, but the memories will stay forever.
