In your own space, set yourself some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Let's start with some fannish goals. Not set in stone, more like a reminder.

1. I want to go back to writing more regularly (and I have to admit, I haven't written at least one fannish word so far in January. But I will, soon, maybe today?!)

2. After the low year 2023 writing-wise, I've set back my [community profile] getyourwordsout goal, and I will try the 120-day habit pledge this year.

3. I want to do more icons again (and finally finish my [community profile] 100fandomiconstable from last year to start with the 2024 one)

4. I want to keep running my three challenge communities (one of it an oldie, the other two I created last year). So much fun.

5. This might be the hardest goal for me: I will try to be more active when it comes to commenting. So often I stumble upon some great icons or a cute fic, but I only leave a comment rarely. Can't even say, why. I never was a very talkative 'girl'. But it can't be so difficult, to leave at least a 'great job, I like your ficlet', right?

And now some more private goals. I know, I should try to live more healthily. Easier said than done. But I am willing to start with some baby steps again.

1. Eat healthier - more fruits and vegetables, less pizza.
2. Drink more (water).
3. A little walk every day.

At the end we will have to wait and see, where the road will take us. I have learned over the years that it is never a good idea to put myself under too much pressure.

So many people also doing GYWO, this is so cool to see :D Best of luck with your pledge! I've never met mine yet... but this year might be the year? XD I also revised my pledge down for 2024.

I hope you did get to write a few fannish words after this post :D Best of luck with your goals!

You do so much work in Empire Fandom that I don’t know where you find time to write. Good luck with your goals. You have a lot of them. Low pressure is always good. See you soon. If you need any help I’m retired and can help you. Just yell.

Thank you for all that work. I recognize those; I think I've listed them in my Follow Friday posts.

>> I will try to be more active when it comes to commenting.<<

There's [community profile] comment_bingo and Community Thursday often involves commenting.

>> 1. Eat healthier - more fruits and vegetables, less pizza.<<

My partner and I read cookbooks together, picking out recipes to try. More often than not they are healthy or thereabouts. The current one is cookies but before that was Indian.

I also like trying unfamiliar produce. A new apple variety will always turn my head. I got a Buddha's hand recently, made cookies with it, candied the rest -- they're only available a brief time and not every year. :D Mangosteen was amazing.

Consider "dating" a new food. You don't have to make a commitment. Just give it a try. If it's awful, you can always write a funny post about your bad blind date with a horned melon, or whatever.
