Celebreties I've already met

I started visiting Ring Con (today Magic Con) in Bonn/Germany, in 2002; since then, I have seen/met so many interesting actors. Lots of them come from the Lord of the Rings movies, but some others do not. For the first years it was unthinkable for me, to miss a con, but then the general interest in LotR started to vanish and other fandoms took over the con. I lost interest, and only goes now and then today, when some interesting gueststars are announced. Like Richard Armitage, who was there in 2024. (Thorin / The Hobbit)
Some days ago, I talked with a friend about it, and yes, it was difficult to remember all the guests easily. So I decided:
Why not making a list of all the great people I've met? So, here we go.
Lord of the Rings
Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings, Jeremiah, 24 and others - my one and only hobbit who took my breath away more than just once during con) and his daughter Alexandra (LotR - about ten years old back then, and oh, it was sooo cute to have her on stage with his dad at the closing ceremony)
Richard Armitage (Thorin = The Hobbit, and he is such a great guy. Sadly he was only there for one day and it was all it bit too rushed. I will keep all my fingers crossed that he might come again to Bonn for another con.)
Elijah Wood (my Casey - The Faculty, but of course, he also played Frodo in Lord of the Rings)
Billy Boyd (Pippin - and what a great singer)
Dominic Monaghan (Merry - and the biggest surprise for me. I never was the biggest fan of Merry / Dom, but meeting him at
John Rhys Davis (Gimli - a nice guy, very chatty during autograph session and panels)
Sarah McLeod (Rosie)
Brad Dourif (Wormtongue)
Paul Norell (The Witchking and others)
John Noble (Denethor)
Jed Brophy (some orcs in LotR later, he played the dwarf Nori in 'The Hobbit' trilogy)
Miranda Otto (Eowyn)
Lawrence Makoare (Lurtz)
Andy Serkis (Gollum)
Craig Parker (Haldir - some might also remember him from Spartacus)
Mark Ferguson (Gil Galad in LotR)
Lori Dungey (Mrs. Bracegirdle in the extended version - I had breakfast with her in pajamas once when we both stayed by a friend of mine after con ... lol)
Thomas Robins (Deagol)
Cameron Rhodes (Farmer Marggot)
Sala Baker (Sauron and others)
Bruce Hopkins (Gamling)
John Leigh (Hama)
Nathaniel Lees (Ugluk)
Jorn Benzon (Rumil)
Jarl Benzon (Glorfindel)
Jonathan Harding (Erestor)
Peter Tait (Shagrat)
Mana Hira Davis (various elves and Rohan warrior)
Sandro Kopp (various elves and others)
Bernhard Hill (Theoden - well, eating an apple during your panel and ignoring questions from your fans was not very nice)
Stephen Ure (orks)
Shane Rangi (Stunt double for lots of orcs)
Royd Tolkien
John Howe (Artist)
Daniel Reeve (Artist)
And last, though he was one of the most impressive actors I was able to see:
Sir Christopher Lee
I didn't meet him at Ring Con but at a concert by the Tolkien Ensemble where he was the narrator of the ring story. Even after all the years, it still gives me goosebumps when I think about this.
Other Fandoms
Tom Ellis (Lucifer is in the house)
Rachael Harris (Linda from Lucifer, so small and much energy)
Kevin Alejandro (Dan from Lucifer)
DB Woods (Amenadial from Lucifer)
Lesly Ann Brandt (Mazekeen from Lucifer)
Kyle Schmid (Henry Fitzroy from Blood Ties
Luke Paqualino (D'Artagnan from the BBC Musketeers, but he also turns up in Shadow & Bones. He is the voice of Wulf in War of the Rohirrim. Nice guy!)
Jack Wolfe (most will probably know him from Shadow & Bones; I knew him from 'The magic Flute' - and woah, this guy can sing. Which he sadly didn't at Magic Con - but he made for it with an amazing smile.)
